John Hyatt, Director of the Institute for Research and Innovation in Art and Design (miriad) at Manchester Metropolitan University took a picture of what he claims is a small winged creature while he was photographing landscapes Lancashire during the last two years. And he is now displaying his photographs at a special exhibition.

John, 53 years old, who is a former punk band "Three Johns" in the 1980s and 1990s confirms that the original photographs and never modified in any way. And he said that adults who have seen the photos have begun to accept the idea that it may indeed be a real fairy.

John said that when he went to get a picture of flies and insects and turns invisible insects that look like insects usually.

"Let the people decide for themselves what they see in these photos. I just told the people who saw it so they look with an open mind, "says John.

John, who lives Rawtenstall, has posted some of his photographs on social media and said the photos have given rise to much debate.

The exhibition, called Rossendale Fairies, exhibited at the Museum Whitaker Whitaker Park in Rossendale, throughout the spring.

John says that the existence of fairies it was spotted by a famous forgery event that Cottingley fairies, where the two girls in Bradford claimed to have photographed fairies in their garden, which ended 60 years later they admit that it's just a fairy that they made from pieces of cardboard.

But John admits that the creature he took pictures, they are not the same as the character portrayed in children's stories and hope the pictures will change the perception of people about fairies.

"I do not believe that they are a smaller version of us and go home and have a cup of tea at the end of the day. Or they have special powers. From my experience they just enjoying themselves and there they sometimes do a dance in the moonlight. They are a beautiful picture and beauty can make people believe ", said John.

Then after a few days John posting pictures of her, she immediately flooded with submissions fairy photographs sent by fairy observers from more than 15 countries.

John touched by the messages that support it and the photos taken in Argentina, Finland and France, from others who also claimed to have found such a small mythical creature.

"Many who sent me pictures and stories of their meeting with their fairy. Parents from all over the world have to say thank you on behalf of their children and themselves. It's bigger than a magical touch. I think it is entirely appropriate that the beauty of artistic form allows people to open them and see the world with fresh eyes. "
